About the position

The Inventory Operations Technician at Vivolac Cultures Corporation is responsible for the management and documentation of frozen materials within the warehouse. This role involves the physical movement of products, ensuring product integrity during storage and transportation, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The technician will work in a freezer environment and is expected to adhere to safety and quality standards while assisting in various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Put away products from production and processing with correct documentation
• Focus on maintaining the product integrity and temperature during transportation and storage
• Locate and gather all materials needed in a timely and efficient manner
• Weigh out products used in operations with accuracy and aseptic techniques
• Count finished products received before freezer storage accurately
• Return unused bulk products to the correct location in the freezer
• Provide complete and accurate documentation
• Follow all safety, quality, and inventory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain freezer organization and cleanliness
• Cleaning/sanitizing of all work areas as prescribed by the Master Sanitation schedule
• Maintain Safe Quality Food (SQF) systems and report any concerns to Management
• Assist other departments as directed by the Supervisor

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be willing to work in a freezer environment for extended periods
• Able to work in -45 degree temperatures for extended periods
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to respond with a high sense of urgency
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills
• Able to work in a bending/standing position for extended periods
