About the position

The Inventory Performance Manager will be responsible for coordinating the activities of logistics, inventory planning, analysis, and management functions across United Performance Metals (UPM). This role is crucial in ensuring that inventory levels are optimized and that the supply chain operates efficiently. The manager will work closely with various departments to analyze inventory performance metrics and implement strategies to improve overall inventory management processes. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to utilize various software tools to track and report on inventory performance. The successful candidate will also be involved in demand planning and scheduling, ensuring that the right products are available at the right time to meet customer needs. This role will require collaboration with teams across different UPM facilities, including travel to locations in Hamilton, OH, and South Windsor, CT, up to 25% of the time. Remote work is permitted for up to two days a week, providing flexibility in managing work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics and inventory planning activities across UPM.
• Analyze inventory performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
• Manage demand planning and scheduling processes.
• Utilize supply chain planning software, MRP, ERP software, and Advanced Excel for analysis and reporting.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a closely allied field (or foreign equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in inventory planning, demand planning, and scheduling.
• Experience using Dashboard/Analytics and supply chain planning software.
