About the position

Sightpath Medical is seeking a Part-time Inventory Specialist to join our team in Gainesville, GA. This position is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely ordering and fulfillment of surgical supplies for our teams. You will work in a challenging and rewarding environment alongside smart, fun, and energetic colleagues. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surgical tags for each surgical schedule, packing surgical packs and supplies in a timely manner, and shipping any lenses or supplies as needed to teams or headquarters. You will also be available to answer product questions from our customers and create purchase orders in our Inventory Purchasing Software System. Tracking the movement of inventory and entering data into the tracking system as items move in and out of the warehouse will be key responsibilities. Additionally, you will handle returns of defective or overstocked inventory items and assist with bi-monthly warehouse inventory. The position requires physical demands such as extended standing and lifting of medical supplies. You will perform daily biologicals on the autoclave and may need to peel pack or run instruments in the autoclave for teams or the warehouse. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager or Mobile Operations Manager, you will notify them of any vendor issues that may cause potential delays or cancellations of cases, as well as any last-minute overnight shipping requests. You will also provide support to the Supply Chain Manager, Mobile Operations Manager, and cataract teams, and serve as backup support during their absences.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare surgical tags for each surgical schedule
  • Pack out surgical packs and supplies for the team in a timely manner
  • Ship any lenses/supplies, as needed to teams or HQ
  • Be available to answer product questions from our customers
  • Create purchase orders in our Inventory Purchasing Software System
  • Assist in tracking movement of inventory
  • Enter inventory data into tracking system as they move in and out of the warehouse
  • Handle returns of defective or overstocked inventory items
  • Handle returns of defective lenses
  • Assist with bi-monthly warehouse inventory
  • Deliver products/supplies, as needed to teams
  • Meet physical demands of the job, including extended standing and lifting of medical supplies
  • Perform daily biologicals on autoclave
  • Peel pack and/or run any instruments in the autoclave, as needed for teams or warehouse
  • Report vendor issues that may cause potential delays or cancellations of cases to the Supply Chain Manager or Mobile Operations Manager
  • Notify the Supply Chain Manager, Mobile Operations Manager, or Senior Operations Director of any last-minute overnight shipping requests
  • Provide support to the Supply Chain Manager, Mobile Operations Manager, and cataract teams
  • Provide backup support for the Supply Chain Manager and Mobile Operations Manager while sick or on vacation
