About the position

As an Inventory Pricing Analyst at Graybar, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, forecasting, and managing inventory to meet the needs of customers and the company while adhering to budgeted investment metrics. This position involves analyzing inventory performance, preventing service failures, and collaborating with suppliers and product management to optimize stock levels and eliminate excess merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Review inventory levels and performance to achieve budgeted investment metrics.
• Analyze and evaluate inventory to prevent service failures using forecasting methods.
• Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations to Product Management.
• Track materials shipped and manage local inventory based on sales.
• Maintain New Items in Stock report and communicate with field and customers.
• Eliminate excess merchandise by collaborating with suppliers and National Product Managers.
• Support and participate in branch Stock Committees as required.
• Review Sales Order Stock for timely disposition.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of inventory management experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic inventory management principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and SAP.
• Ability to create Business Objects reports.
• Strong communication skills.
• Mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work with all levels of branch and district employees.
