About the position

Cell Signaling Technology (CST) is a life sciences company founded and run by active research scientists, dedicated to providing high-quality products and services to fellow scientists globally. The Inventory & Receiving Specialist II plays a crucial role in the Supply Chain Operations team, focusing on the efficient entry and receiving of materials and supplies. This position involves receiving and stocking finished goods and semi-finished goods inventory, as well as driving the logistics van between the Trask and Tozer facilities. Success in this role is measured by adherence to standard operating procedures, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records. The specialist will be responsible for entering received goods into the ERP system, delivering goods to end users, verifying documentation against received goods, and communicating effectively with procurement regarding any damaged goods. The role requires critical thinking skills and a dependable team player attitude, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Supply Chain Operations team with entering and receiving materials and supplies.
  • Receive and stock finished goods inventory and semi-finished goods inventory.
  • Drive the logistics van between Trask and Tozer facilities.
  • Enter goods received into the ERP system.
  • Deliver received goods to end users in the facility.
  • Put away goods received in appropriate supply room/area.
  • Verify documentation and Purchase Orders against received goods.
  • Communicate effectively with procurement regarding damaged goods received.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification required.
  • Ability to analyze and solve physical/non-physical receiving problems.
  • Critical thinking skills are required for the position.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, Mac OS X, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
  • Ability to work alternating shifts from 8 AM - 4 PM or 9 AM - 5 PM (37.5 hours per week).
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years of inventory management experience.
  • Experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) electronic tool (e.g. Oracle, SAP, SFDC etc.).
