About the position

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and organizing inventory within a refrigerated warehouse environment at a produce company. This role requires expertise in inventory control, familiarity with inventory tracking systems, and the ability to operate forklifts. The specialist will ensure accurate stock counts, maintain organization, and collaborate with other departments to manage inventory effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize inventory in refrigerated areas of the warehouse.
• Utilize inventory tracking systems and software, such as Entrée and Microsoft Office 365.
• Operate material handling equipment (MHE) and perform physical tasks including lifting and moving heavy items.
• Conduct regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, unpacking and shelving items appropriately.
• Update inventory records using computerized systems.
• Label and tag items for easy identification.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to replenish stock as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in inventory control (preferred).
• 2 years of forklift experience (preferred).
• Proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in inventory records.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Experience with warehouse management processes.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and software.

Benefits

• Full-time position with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.
• Expected hours of 40 per week with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday.
