About the position
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and organizing inventory within a refrigerated warehouse environment at a produce company. This role requires expertise in warehouse operations, inventory management processes, and the ability to work efficiently in a cold environment while ensuring accurate stock levels and maintaining safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize inventory in refrigerated areas of the warehouse.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management processes.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and software, such as Entrée and Microsoft Office 365.
- Operate material handling equipment (MHE) and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy items.
- Maintain strong organization and multitasking skills to manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts.
- Identify discrepancies or errors in inventory records with attention to detail.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with other departments.
- Solve problems related to inventory discrepancies or challenges.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments.
- Unpack and shelve items in designated locations.
- Update inventory records using computerized systems.
- Conduct regular daily stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Label and tag items for easy identification.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to replenish stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow proper safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in inventory control (preferred).
- 2 years of forklift experience (preferred).
- Ability to communicate in Spanish and English (preferred).
- Physical fitness to operate MHE and perform lifting tasks.

Benefits
- Full-time position with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.
- 40 expected hours per week with an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.
