About the position

The Inventory Specialist at Advance Auto Parts is responsible for managing HUB operations and ensuring timely order fulfillment. This role involves collaboration with the store management team to maintain inventory accuracy, complete cycle counts, and adhere to company policies and procedures. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle physical demands associated with inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and ship HUB orders on time.
  • Call servicing store if HUB order can't be filled to explain how to reorder.
  • Complete all parts department cycle counts including OUTS with the store management team.
  • Work with the store management team to complete all parts department plan-o-grams.
  • Stock all parts department parts in collaboration with the store management team.
  • Complete all parts department callbacks with the store management team.
  • Complete MAXI changes in the parts department with the store management team.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required training materials and attend all scheduled store meetings.
  • Train and develop Team Members as directed by the General Manager to ensure HUB operations follow company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the General Manager for product delivery, inventory maintenance, and daily transaction records.
  • Ensure compliance with established security, customer service, and record-keeping policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior retail experience, including basic merchandising and inventory management skills.
  • Competent in oral and written communications and basic math computations.
  • Ability to drive a forklift, if certified and applicable, and use a hand truck and pallet jack.
  • Well-mannered and neat in appearance with the ability to deal with the public in an unbiased manner.
  • Previous work records should demonstrate stability and performance results.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Nice-to-haves
