About the position

The Inventory Supervisor/Specialist at Big D Party Rentals is responsible for overseeing the rental inventory to ensure successful event operations. This role involves coordinating with various teams, managing inventory movement, and ensuring effective communication with both staff and customers. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on maintaining accurate inventory records and addressing any shortages or issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the rental inventory to ensure successful customer events and effective communication with customers and team members.
• Coordinate rental equipment movement with Sales and Operations Teams.
• Advise management of inventory shortages or issues to ensure equipment availability for events.
• Work with the dispatching team to provide necessary inventory for successful deliveries and pickups.
• Track inventory added and taken out of service to maintain up-to-date records.
• Collaborate with management to project equipment needs for future events.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 years of inventory management or warehouse management experience.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Attention to detail and ability to work longer hours during busy seasons.
• Forklift driving experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. when necessary.
• Valid driver's license.
• Clear English communication skills, both written and verbal; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
