About the position
The Inventory Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the Inventory Manager by overseeing daily inventory operations, ensuring compliance with procedures, and maintaining organized inventory systems. This position involves supervising Inventory Associates, managing inventory levels, and optimizing inventory processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels using inventory management software such as Dutchie, Lucid ID, and Metrc.
- Oversee the processing and storage of incoming inventory.
- Tag and label inventory and update system records.
- Assist with daily inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Train staff on proper inventory handling and compliance.
- Support the Inventory Manager with data entry and record-keeping.
- Supervise Inventory Associates and delegate tasks.
- Ensure that all inventory restock is done before the end of shift by the Inventory Associate or Inventory Manager on duty.
- Ensure that all End of Batch Metrc Tags are completed prior to end of shift.
- Assist with conducting weekly audits and reporting any variances.
- Investigate all variances thoroughly and hold employees accountable for mistakes.
- Maintain and organize back stock and ensure products are correctly stored.
- Confirm that all inventory has the pertinent Metrc tag with it.
- Ensure inventory areas are clean and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Help develop strategies to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Update inventory records and reconcile weekly shipments.
- Attend weekly meetings with supply chain, General Manager (GM), & inventory manager for open communication and alignment.
- Supervise that all Metrc Packages are finished once at 0.
- Supervise that all Metrc Sales are finalized.
- Assist the Inventory Manager in the overnight inventory audit on the last day of each month.
Requirements
- 2+ years of previous inventory experience.
