About the position

The Inventory Warehouse Manager will oversee and manage inventories at Retiina's manufacturing site and associated warehouse spaces. This role focuses on optimizing inventory control, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and improving warehouse efficiency. The manager will also be responsible for directing shipments, training warehouse associates, and maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Verify inventory numbers and maintain accurate inventory counts of all items.
  • Seek improvements for inventory volumes and warehouse capacity to maximize productivity.
  • Rearrange stock for improved efficiency.
  • Provide oversight of the warehouse to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule.
  • Direct shipments and resolve logistical challenges by communicating with clients, transportation providers, installation sites, and suppliers.
  • Prepare schedules for Warehouse Associates, train new employees, and monitor compliance with safety standards.
  • Design and implement inventory tracking systems for new programs to ensure optimized inventory control.
  • Report inventory levels while making recommendations on which items to order and restock.
  • Perform regular inventory audits and scheduled cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations, and stock levels.
  • Oversee and execute all inventory-specific initiatives.
  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Record daily receipts and shipments to reconcile inventory.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
  • Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' inventory and warehouse management experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a program based, custom design and machine building environment is preferred, automation systems are a plus.
  • Expertise of inventory and warehouse practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is a plus.
  • Previous experience with ERP software, MAS 100 or SAGE 100 is preferred.
  • Experienced with cycle counting and order checking.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Forklift experience required (certification/training required).
  • Knowledge of space utilization and inventory techniques; proper methods of storing equipment and materials.
