About the position
The Investigation Specialist Sr. is responsible for coordinating, gathering, and analyzing data from the NHTSA Vehicle Owner Questionnaire (VOQ) to monitor market disturbances and trends related to Audi vehicles. This role involves procuring and verifying warranty and field report information to respond to NHTSA inquiries and factory requests, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. The specialist must communicate complex technical concepts clearly and provide technical guidance to support Volkswagen and Audi's defense strategies.
Responsibilities
- Compile, reconcile, analyze, quantify, and qualify NHTSA VOQ data and perform trend analysis.
- Investigate and validate customer concerns using market awareness, warranty data, and field report information.
- Coordinate communications with VWAG, AUDI AG, and other organizations to identify data abnormalities.
- Escalate trending topics to management and relevant committees.
- Compile, reconcile, analyze, and qualify technical data from warranty and field report sources for NHTSA inquiries.
- Develop and maintain a documented process for obtaining necessary information and compiling it into understandable documents.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience, ideally in the automotive industry.
- 5+ years of experience in a Product Support role.
- Bachelor's degree in automotive or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Extraordinary data analysis capabilities and proficiency with data analysis tools.
- Thorough technical understanding of automotive vehicle systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Data scientist experience.
- Multi-lingual skills beneficial.
- Engineering experience on vehicle systems.
- Expert level understanding of mechanical, electrical, chassis, and safety-related components/systems.
- General knowledge of law/legal proceedings.
