The Senior Consultant role within the Investigative Data Analytics team at J.S. Held involves leveraging data analysis expertise to deliver innovative solutions for complex, data-intensive matters. Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret high-stakes data sets, including historical financial, operational, and transactional data.
• Identify, research, and organize information to ensure data quality and facilitate effective analysis.
• Collaborate with senior team members to support project leadership, including data collection, processing, review, and production for investigations.
• Contribute to the creation, validation, and presentation of analyses, reports, and project deliverables.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss project progress, findings, and recommendations, building strong relationships.
• Coordinate project activities with project teams, external professionals, and client staff to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, MIS, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a consulting firm or similar environment.
• Strong background in analyzing historical financial, operational, or transactional data sets.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, Java, Scala, Julia, or equivalent.
• Proficient in SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, Looker, Google Analytics).
• Exposure to ETL software (SSIS, Pentaho, Fivetran, Stitch, Azure Data Factory).
• Ability to travel occasionally, depending on project requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data analysis in specific industries (e.g., healthcare, financial, insurance, legal, government, retail, manufacturing).
• Understanding of cryptocurrency and other digital assets.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for data storage and processing.
• Experience with advanced data visualization tools (e.g., interactive dashboards, storytelling techniques).
