The Investigative Management Analyst/Fraud Detection Analyst/Body Worn Camera Coordinator position within the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is a critical role in the Criminal Investigation Division. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about law enforcement and have a keen interest in digital forensics and fraud detection. The incumbent will serve as the focal point of expertise in the program area, responsible for formulating and drafting policies related to the program, preparing specialized reports such as the Business Performance Review (BPR) and Annual Business Plan (ABP), and writing directives and memoranda for national distribution. Additionally, the role involves developing technical and procedural guidelines for publication in the Internal Revenue Manual (IRM) and the Law Enforcement Manual (LEM). The successful candidate will evaluate the effectiveness of the Service/Criminal Investigation (CI) in accomplishing its overall mission, strategies, priorities, and goals. This will be achieved through conducting independent studies and research, utilizing data from various sources, and preparing action plans, schedules, and reports. The incumbent will also meet with executives and senior managers to discuss strategy and planning issues, fostering consensus and cooperation to achieve mutual goals. As a liaison between CI and other agencies, the incumbent will represent the Service as a subject matter expert, working to resolve conflicts that may affect CI's strategic goals. A significant aspect of the role involves reviewing video footage captured by body-worn cameras to assess law enforcement performance, ensuring practices align with policy and approved enforcement plans. The Body Worn Camera Coordinator will utilize knowledge of Use of Force techniques and related investigative policies to identify training and operational safety issues, collaborating with field office senior management to recommend potential remediations.
