About the position

In this role, you will conduct investigations into allegations of fraud by applicants and recipients of Public Assistance Programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Alaska Temporary Assistance Program, Adult Public Assistance, and Medicaid Programs. You will prepare cases for criminal prosecution and administrative disqualification hearings. You will represent the Department in either procedure. The Division of Public Assistance promotes self-sufficiency and provides basic living expenses to Alaskans in need, while the Program Integrity and Analysis section values integrity, stewardship, and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations into allegations of fraud by applicants and recipients of Public Assistance Programs.
  • Prepare cases for criminal prosecution and administrative disqualification hearings.
  • Represent the Department in legal procedures.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel within the state, sometimes on short notice.
  • Competency in oral and written communication.
  • Attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of State and federal laws related to investigations.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
