About the position

In this role, you will act as the lead worker for junior investigators and an Eligibility Technician 3. You will be responsible for investigating more complex criminal cases. The Division of Public Assistance promotes self-sufficiency and provides basic living expenses to Alaskans in need, while the Program Integrity and Analysis section values integrity, stewardship, and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead worker for junior investigators and an Eligibility Technician 3.
  • Investigate more complex criminal cases.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of state and Federal administrative laws, including procedures, regulations, guidelines, and precedents related to case preparation and settlements.
  • Knowledge of the guidelines, regulations, and procedures associated with criminal investigation, including evidence detection and handling.
  • Takes responsibility for employees' performance by setting and communicating expectations and goals that are specific and measurable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing performance and providing feedback.
  • Knowledge of interviewing techniques and evidence handling.
