About the position

The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is seeking an Investigator to work at the Central Office in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves conducting complex investigations related to agency policy violations, consumer abuse, neglect, or mistreatment at various programs. The Investigator will gather and analyze evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare detailed reports of findings under the direction of the Inspector General.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations related to violations of agency policy, regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Investigate allegations of consumer abuse, neglect, or mistreatment.
  • Gather and analyze physical or documentary evidence.
  • Interview witnesses and analyze business records.
  • Obtain signed statements and affidavits.
  • Prepare investigative reports and case records.
  • Present findings in impartial and properly documented reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least three years of professional or highly complex clerical work for Level I.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least five years of professional or highly complex clerical work for Level II.
  • Juris Doctor or bachelor's degree plus two years' experience in investigations for Level III.
  • Juris Doctor plus two years' experience in the practice of law or bachelor's degree plus four years' experience in investigations for Level IV.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to fulfill job-related travel.
  • Certified Discrimination Complaint Investigator certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification related to investigations such as CLEAR or other investigatory certifications.
