About the position

As an Investigator I at Spectrum, you will be responsible for investigating instances of theft, employee misconduct, and workplace violations within the company's workforce. This role involves conducting research, personal interviews, and analyzing relevant information to ensure compliance with laws and company policies. You will document findings in comprehensive investigative reports and provide testimonials regarding incidents. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with various stakeholders to ensure workplace safety and security.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate instances of theft, employee misconduct, and workplace violations.
  • Conduct research and personal interviews related to investigations.
  • Analyze relevant information and documents in compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Write and document comprehensive investigative reports using the Corporate Physical Security investigative reporting database.
  • Provide testimonials regarding incidents and investigative processes.
  • Support Investigator II in complex investigations and workplace-related support for other Charter functions.
  • Complete on-site security risk assessments and document findings.
  • Represent Corporate Physical Security on various committees and working groups.
  • Assist with administering physical security programs and facilitate security-related training.
  • Prepare and document investigations for handoff to Human Resources, Charter Legal, or law enforcement agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a position requiring research, writing, and analysis in an investigative environment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
  • Understanding of incident reporting and case management.
  • Knowledge of evidence handling and case building for prosecution.
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual proficiency.
  • PCI, CFE, CPP or similar certification.
  • Knowledge of Federal, state, or local regulations relevant to the company, such as PCI, CPNI, SOX, HIPAA, and data privacy affecting theft of cable service.
