About the position

The Investigator Services Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations within a global pharmaceutical organization. This position involves acting as a point of contact for laboratory sites, managing communications, resolving issues related to sample analysis, and ensuring compliance with study requirements. The role requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration and timely resolution of queries.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the point of contact for laboratory sites and monitors communications through email or phone.
• Monitors, tracks, manages, and ensures resolution of all complaints, discrepancies, and concerns, escalating to management as necessary.
• Triages calls to appropriate individuals or departments and follows through to resolution.
• Continually reviews exceptions to ensure data is cleaned within agreed timelines.
• Resolves queries to ensure efficient and timely sample analysis by the laboratory, meeting report turnaround times.
• Notifies sites and necessary contacts of all relevant critical values and study-specific requirements via telephone/email.
• Evaluates requests for additional tests and facilitates requests to the appropriate person, informing the investigator site of results or reasoning not to proceed.
• Coordinates and resolves issues with samples and requisition forms at the time of accessioning.
• Attends study meetings to discuss risk assessment and reports back to the team about requirements.
• Works with the study PM team on the creation of requisition forms to ensure visit and study collection requirements are captured.

Requirements

• High/Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
• Previous lab or pharmaceutical experience of at least 2 years, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
