About the position

The Investment Analyst - Fixed Income Research at Envestnet is responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative due diligence on asset management firms and their investment products. This hybrid role requires in-office work in Denver, CO, and aims to empower financial advisors with innovative technology and solutions. The analyst will engage in research, data analysis, and collaboration with team members to provide insights and recommendations that support the company's mission of enhancing financial wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform due diligence for assigned asset managers and their investment products, including mutual funds, separately managed account strategies, and ETFs.
  • Conduct research to become an expert on assigned asset class(es), understanding performance drivers, major players, limitations, and innovations.
  • Participate actively in manager meetings and phone/video conference interviews.
  • Conduct data aggregation and quantitative analysis to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Write research reports and market commentaries, presenting investment recommendations to team members.
  • Conduct manager searches as needed.
  • Stay updated on investment themes and trends within assigned asset class(es).
  • Contribute to team projects and strategic business initiatives, potentially leading projects as needed.
  • Adhere to Envestnet's legal, compliance, risk, and administrative policies, completing training and awareness tasks as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of asset manager research experience, preferably in fixed income.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about investing and financial markets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Progress towards CFA charter preferred.
