About the position

Roundhouse Communities LLC is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual to fill the position of Investment Analyst. As a rapidly growing vertically integrated owner, operator, and developer of multifamily and mixed-use real estate projects, Roundhouse has established itself since its founding in 2008, with operations in five states and over 8,000 multifamily units under ownership and management. The Investment Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting senior investment professionals in the acquisition, asset management, and disposition of real estate assets. This position is located in Boise, Idaho, and will report directly to the Vice President of Investments. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed financial analysis, preparing investment materials, and assisting in the execution of property transactions. Key responsibilities include performing financial modeling and valuation for acquisitions and developments, preparing investment memoranda and asset management reports, and conducting comprehensive market research to support investment decisions. The Investment Analyst will also interact with clients, support senior investment professionals in investor meetings, and collaborate with team members across various functions to ensure seamless execution of transactions and asset management plans. This role requires a self-starter who can thrive in an entrepreneurial atmosphere and is committed to delivering high-quality work aligned with the company's investment objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed financial modeling and valuation across acquisitions, developments, and portfolio management.
  • Prepare detailed investment memoranda, asset management reports, and marketing materials, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Assist in the execution of property acquisitions, dispositions, and financings, including due diligence and drafting transaction documents.
  • Support the development team on assignments related to entitlements, project design & budgeting, construction management, leasing & marketing.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to support investment decisions and asset management strategies.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the real estate sector.
  • Support senior investment professionals in investor meetings and calls, providing timely responses to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with executives and team members across various functions to ensure seamless execution of transactions and asset management plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience (including relevant internships) in real estate private equity, investment banking, real estate finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with real estate databases (CoStar, RealPage) is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to innovate and think creatively.
  • Self-starter working in an entrepreneurial atmosphere.
