About the position

As an Investment Banker specializing in Energy Transition at UBS, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovative solutions for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to create and nurture partnerships, enhancing the depth and breadth of existing client relationships. You will be expected to generate new ideas and creative approaches that propel the business forward, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the energy transition landscape. In this role, you will assist in managing a team, planning overall resource requirements, and focusing on recruiting, developing, and retaining talented individuals within the organization. Your position will require you to make sound and balanced judgments while adhering to professional, ethical, regulatory, and legal standards. You will also be responsible for motivating and inspiring your team by providing a clear vision of shared goals. As part of the Global Industrials Group (GIG) team, you will provide key analytical support in idea origination efforts and transaction execution, which includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, leveraged buyouts, and the execution of equity and debt capital markets transactions. This role is designed for a leader in innovation who possesses a strong analytical mindset and is client-focused. You will be expected to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, always looking to expand your skill set, particularly in relationship building. Your expertise in the energy transition sector will be crucial in delivering exceptional service and results for our clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in an investment banking role covering the energy transition landscape.
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Client and solutions-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive in expanding skill set, particularly in relationship building.
