About the position

As an Investment Banker in the Med-Tech sector at UBS, you will play a pivotal role in the Global Banking Healthcare coverage group. This position is designed for a leader in innovation who can generate creative ideas and solutions for clients. Your primary responsibilities will include creating partnerships by enhancing existing client relationships and generating new ideas that drive the business forward. You will also assist in managing a team, planning overall resource requirements, and ensuring the recruitment, development, and retention of talented individuals within the team. Your ability to make sound and balanced judgments while adhering to professional, ethical, regulatory, and legal standards will be crucial in this role. Additionally, you will be expected to motivate and inspire others by providing a clear vision of shared goals. In this role, you will provide key analytical support in idea origination efforts and transaction execution, which includes mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital market transactions, leveraged buyouts, and corporate restructurings. You will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on the Healthcare MedTech, Tools, and Diagnostics sector, contributing to the overall success of the group and the firm. Your expertise in financial analysis and client communication will be essential as you navigate complex transactions and foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Previous experience in Healthcare Investment Banking or a related field such as Equity Research for Healthcare
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills, with familiarity in financial and valuation analysis
  • Experience utilizing financial services industry databases and tools including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Client and solutions focused with strong communication skills
  • Desire to expand skill set, including relationship building

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA, graduate degree, or equivalent preferred but not required
