About the position

The Vice President of Investment Banking in the Pharma/BioTech sector will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining relationships with corporate and institutional clients. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong business acumen and a proven track record in identifying and developing new business opportunities. The Vice President will work closely with financial solutions and execution teams to provide integrated financial solutions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and capital raises.

Responsibilities

• Work with financial solutions and execution teams to advise clients on integrated financial solutions including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity capital and debt capital raises.
• Follow up and coordinate all deals and requests from clients, collaborating with internal teams and external consultants.
• Provide timely market information to clients and stakeholders.
• Participate in business and company events to identify new business opportunities and pitch for new clients.
• Lead and/or participate in execution meetings with support from execution/product partners.

Requirements

• 6 years prior work experience in an investment banking front office role.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related field.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely.
• Very strong quantitative and analytical skills, including Excel modeling and valuation work.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, synthesizing large amounts of information to develop innovative solutions.
• Adaptability to manage projects independently and assume a high level of responsibility as a team member.
• Ability to interact with clients in a professional and mature manner.
• Excellent understanding of financial, legal, and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks.
