About the position

The Investment Banking Analyst position in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) at J.P. Morgan offers a unique opportunity to engage in high-profile transactions and contribute to the growth of a leading financial institution. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, continuous mentoring, and the development of strong functional skills in investment banking, preparing analysts to become senior client executives capable of executing their own transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Execute transactions: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation, and liaising with relevant counterparts at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc).
  • Work with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams.
  • Build and use complex financial models, completing valuation and analytical exercises.
  • Draft presentation materials, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue.
  • Keep abreast of key market developments and establish knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics.

Requirements

  • Prior work experience in an investment banking front office, or related, role.
  • Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Understanding of the transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented.
  • Impeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other lines of business.
