About the position
The Investment Banking Division (IBD) Divisional Reporting team at Morgan Stanley is seeking a talented individual to produce and analyze financial reporting for the Investment Banking Business unit. This role involves generating key deliverables such as revenue and expense reports, regulatory reporting, and market share reporting, while collaborating with various teams to enhance reporting tools and processes.
Responsibilities
- Produce management reporting for the Investment Banking Division including weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue/expense reporting.
- Involved in budgeting and forecasting of revenues and direct expenses.
- Prepare weekly external Investment Banking revenue results and forecasts.
- Coordinate commentary across the global IBD controller organization.
- Support ad hoc reporting requests from Corporate Reporting, ISG Reporting, Business unit, and Finance Management teams.
- Collaborate with Technology on system enhancement projects.
- Engaged in testing roll-outs of new Investment Banking Reporting tools.
Requirements
- Interest or familiarity with Financial Markets and Products.
- Previous work experience in Financial Services, Audit, or Accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
- Experience working against challenging stakeholders and/or deadlines to deliver positive results.
- Willingness to observe and disrupt processes to prioritize team efficiency.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-paced environment.
