About the position

The Investment Consultant (IC) role at Schwab is an entry-level position designed to provide foundational experience in the financial consulting field. This position allows individuals to learn and grow within the Branch Network, preparing them for future roles as Financial Consultants. The IC will engage in proactive outreach to existing clients, analyze their needs, and recommend appropriate financial products and solutions, all while receiving mentorship from experienced Financial Consultants.

Responsibilities

• Engage in proactive, outbound calls to existing Schwab clients.
• Conduct needs-based analysis to uncover client opportunities.
• Position appropriate financial products and solutions based on client needs.
• Observe and learn from skilled Financial Consultants to enhance service delivery.
• Build a book of business through client relationship management.

Requirements

• A valid and active Series 7 license is required.
• A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license is required.
• A valid and active Life and Health Insurance license is required.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Ability to leverage business development experience.
• Passion for gaining knowledge of brokerage/banking products and services.
