About the position
As an Investment Consultant (IC) at Schwab, you will embark on a career path that allows you to learn and grow within the Branch Network. This entry-level role serves as a stepping stone towards becoming a Financial Consultant (FC), providing essential exposure and experience in building a book of business through proactive outreach to existing clients. You will engage in needs-based analysis to uncover opportunities and position appropriate financial products and solutions, all while collaborating with experienced FCs to deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Make proactive, outbound calls to existing Schwab clients.
- Conduct needs-based analysis to uncover client opportunities.
- Position appropriate financial products and solutions for clients.
- Observe and learn from skilled Financial Consultants (FCs).
- Build strong client relationships.
Requirements
- A valid and active Series 7 license is required.
- A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license is required.
- A valid and active Life and Health Insurance license is required.
Nice-to-haves
- 2 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Ability to leverage business development experience.
- Passion for gaining knowledge of brokerage/banking products and services.
- Openness to build strong client relationships.
