About the position

The Investment Consultant at North Shore Bank is responsible for providing sales and consultation services for various investment products, including mutual funds, variable annuities, and securities. This role involves training and supporting branch representatives to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge, ensuring high-quality service to customers. The position emphasizes long-term growth and community support, aligning with the bank's mission to empower customers and foster community development.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and consultation services for mutual funds, variable annuities, securities, and other investment vehicles to customers.
• Conduct ongoing training sessions for branch employees on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Regularly contact assigned branch offices to report on sales activities and exchange pertinent information.
• Arrange and coordinate training sessions for branch representatives regarding prospecting and customer engagement.
• Support branch representatives in setting up interviews and identifying potential customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.
• At least five years of related sales experience required.
• Must possess Series 7 and Series 63 licenses; Series 65 and insurance licenses (Wisconsin life, annuity, and LTC) preferred.
• Exemplary sales skills and effective interpersonal skills required, including the ability to conduct group presentations.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in bank programs and knowledge of the banking industry is desirable.
