About The Position

The BVAL Fixed Income Evaluator position at Bloomberg involves providing high-quality evaluated pricing for Investment Grade Corporate Bonds. The role requires collaboration with various teams to design and support innovative valuation models, ensuring clients receive accurate pricing data. The evaluator will leverage Bloomberg's analytics and engage with clients to assist in their valuation needs, contributing to the transparency and efficiency of fixed income markets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in trading, portfolio management, securities valuations, or research within the Investment Grade Corporate bond universe.
• Experience with complex systems, including databases and analytical models.
• Understanding of the fixed income market, market drivers, bond structures, and pricing approaches.
• Excellent Excel skills for financial modeling and statistical analysis.
• Advanced technical skills in VBA, SQLPad, Superset, and/or Python.
• Ability to articulate complex valuation models clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong prioritization and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and support valuation models and systems for evaluated prices of Investment Grade Corporate Bonds.
• Collaborate with BVAL team members, Business Development, and Engineering to enhance product offerings.
• Assist clients using BVAL prices for NAV, P&L, and risk analytic purposes.
• Discuss complex valuation models and pricing questions with colleagues and clients.
• Identify and implement workflow improvements and operational efficiencies across multiple groups.
• Utilize innovative valuation models and Bloomberg's analytics to provide accurate pricing.
