About the position

The Investment Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting various investment programs at Intermountain Health. This position involves interacting with multiple levels of the finance organization and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of investment manager fee invoices, monitoring correspondence with external investment managers, and assisting in the onboarding of new managers and funds. The role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and effective project management skills, all while working in a 100% remote environment with some in-office training requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review all investment manager fee invoices for accuracy against contract terms and custodial valuations prior to payment.
  • Monitor correspondence with over 100 external investment managers, ensuring proper categorization and storage of data.
  • Annually review all side letters with investment managers to ensure compliance with terms.
  • Assist in onboarding new managers and funds, including contract categorization and verification of tax filings.
  • Review and audit data in the CRM system, including K-1s, PFIC, EINs, and account transactions.
  • Complete questionnaires and requests from investment managers related to anti-money laundering and Know Your Client requirements.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders on various projects.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in project management with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with contracts, legal analysis, financial service audit/consulting, or related financial management roles.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet, email, and scheduling applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related discipline with two years of related finance experience.
  • Legal experience.
  • Two years in a role requiring effective project management skills and sound decision-making.
