About the position

The Investment Operations Analyst will support Global Atlantic's $170B asset portfolio by overseeing various operational processes, ensuring accuracy in cash management, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily cash suspense process and identify/report open items.
  • Assist with clearing large and aged items.
  • Assist with Open Payables/Receivables reconciliation.
  • Manage Investment Operations' relationship with internal/external auditors.
  • Track open items and collaborate across teams for support.
  • Reconcile balances of cash and bonds posted for collateral for derivatives or borrowings.
  • Register Private Placement Numbers with the CUSIP Service.
  • Support reconciliation of SMF data between IBOR and ABOR.
  • Collaborate with Investment Accounting and stakeholders to resolve data feed or reporting issues.
  • Work with portfolio managers to align strategies with NAIC rating requirements and investment objectives.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring processes related to NAIC-rated assets.
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders, including rating agencies and brokers.
  • Stay informed about regulatory developments and industry trends related to NAIC ratings.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly reports on NAIC-rated investments for senior management.
  • Coordinate asset setup for new securities and structured transactions with the Portfolio Management team.
  • Set up SPVs to hold assets and facilitate internal securitization of asset cashflows.
  • Engage in team initiatives for complex asset structures and process automation.
  • Manage ongoing asset lifecycle activities including remittances and updates.
  • Review cash and asset movement across custody and trust banks related to investment activity.

Requirements

  • BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related major.
  • 1-3 years relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with ratings/ratings agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or CFA is a plus.
  • Experience with Clearwater, Wall Street Office, IHS Markit, Moody's Analytics, Tableau is a plus.
  • VBA and Visio experience is a plus.
