The Investment Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Investment Operations Department at Central Bancompany, providing essential back office support to the Portfolio Management and Capital Market departments. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to develop a comprehensive understanding of the bank's custodial systems, specifically FedLine Advantage (FED) and the Depository Trust Clearing Corporation (DTCC). The coordinator will also become familiar with the safekeeping and bond accounting system, the IntraFi platform, and the repurchase sweep system. Additionally, the role involves understanding collateral assignments related to public fund deposits, which is vital for ensuring compliance and operational efficiency. In this position, the Investment Operations Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining relationships and activities that align with established bank policies, procedures, and systems. This includes adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics, the Bank Secrecy Act, and all relevant state and federal laws and regulations. The coordinator will monitor security settlements at both FED and DTCC, ensuring that all trade details are accurately compared across systems to facilitate proper settlement, posting, and reconciliation. Effective communication with Portfolio Managers and the Trading Desk is essential for resolving any trade discrepancies that may arise. The role also encompasses monitoring principal, interest, and maturity payments credited to Central Bank's Federal Reserve account, as well as processing calls, tenders, and other corporate actions on securities through the FED and DTCC systems. Daily cash management and assisting with audit requests are additional responsibilities. The Investment Operations Coordinator must be prepared to back up other investment operations duties, including custodial inventory, principal and interest reconciliations, derivative settlements, collateral management, and daily cash balancing.
