About the position

The Vice President in Investment Management Operations is responsible for leading a team that collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure exceptional operational servicing for MSIM clients. This role involves managing client relationships, optimizing client experiences, and overseeing vendor partnerships while ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision for the direction of the team in conjunction with global peers.
  • Take responsibility for talent acquisition and succession planning.
  • Run the operation as a business, focusing on client service needs and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with peers across business units and external stakeholders to execute strategy.
  • Accountable for the Operations contribution to the client experience.
  • Ensure appropriate escalation through Operations for timely client needs resolution.
  • Provide a single point of contact for cohesive client responses from Operations teams.
  • Direct Operations leads to prioritize client requirements over BAU Operations.

Requirements

  • Experience with global institutional investment management client service and/or client operations.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • General understanding of service and client operation requirements for institutional separate account clients.
  • Experience with designing and leading client operations functions, including account transitions and client reporting.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and investment management firm clients.
