About the position

The IOP Senior Project Manager (IT Project Manager 2) is responsible for managing multiple projects within the Innovate Ohio Platform team at the Ohio Department of Administrative Services. This role involves coordinating resources, ensuring project delivery on time and within budget, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and the application of project management methodologies to achieve successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and requirements with stakeholders.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation for assigned projects.
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress using Atlassian tools.
  • Manage changes to project scope, requirements, schedule, and costs.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Report and escalate project risks/issues to the Project and Transformation Manager.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Provide updates on all projects to the Project Management Office (PMO) team.
  • Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Responsible for continuous project management improvement and training.
  • Act as Senior Project Manager for enterprise InnovateOhio Platform projects.
  • Lead medium to large IOP internal and external projects with executive leaders as stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks or blockers and escalate them appropriately.
  • Collaborate with internal and external project teams to deliver successful projects.
  • Manage multiple User Experience and Identity projects.
  • Participate in DAS/IOP contract compliance.
  • Assume accountability for all project executions and service delivery.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in project management, including management and development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing, training, and implementation.
  • 12 months of experience in budgeting and calculating cost projections of projects.
  • Successful completion of 2 years of post-secondary education in relevant fields with project management experience.
  • 12 months of experience as Project Manager 1 or IT Project Manager 1.

  • Certified Scrum Master certification
  • JIRA ACP-600 Certification
  • Experience with MS Visio
  • Knowledge of ITIL and user testing and acceptance methodologies.
