About the position

ASSYST is seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join our client's team in Laurel, Maryland. This hybrid role involves analyzing, developing, maintaining applications, and troubleshooting production issues. The developer will work closely with the QA team and manage the app submission and deployment processes on the Apple Store and IBM MaaS360.

Responsibilities

• Implement UI/UX design by translating design mockups and wireframes into high-quality code, adhering to Apple's design guidelines.
• Design and build iOS apps for iPhone and iPad using Swift.
• Maintain existing iOS apps written in Swift and ObjectiveC, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Integrate APIs and third-party services into applications.
• Manage the new app submission, approval, and release process on the Apple Store.
• Manage app deployment and distribution on IBM MaaS360.
• Collaborate with the QA team to support application QA and UAT.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in iOS app development for iPhone and iPad.
• Proficiency in Swift and ObjectiveC.
• Experience with full-cycle mobile app development.
• Integration with mobile backend APIs and cloud service APIs.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and data encryption.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and best practices.
• Experience with UIKit, CoreData, Alamofire, MapKit, and AVFoundation.
• Experience with Firebase Analytics SDK and Crashlytics.
• Familiarity with Vision API(s).
• Proficient in using tools such as Xcode, Swift Playgrounds, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager (SPM), Simulator, Postman, App Store Connect, and TestFlight.
