About the position

The iOS Developer at MyBambu is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the MyBambu iOS application, which serves underserved communities with a focus on financial inclusion. This full-time, in-person role requires collaboration with UI/UX designers and backend developers to ensure a high-quality user experience and seamless integration with backend services. The developer will also implement security best practices, conduct thorough testing, and manage the app submission process to the Apple App Store.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the MyBambu iOS app, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces.
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate the iOS app with RESTful APIs and other services.
• Implement and maintain best practices for mobile app security, including encryption and secure coding.
• Conduct thorough testing of the iOS app, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and apply this knowledge to improve the app continually.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the iOS app, including technical specifications and user guides.
• Identify and fix bugs and performance issues, providing technical support for app-related queries.
• Manage the MyBambu submission process to the Apple App Store, ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C programming languages.
• Strong understanding of iOS frameworks such as UIKit, Core Data, Core Animation, and Core Graphics.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and mobile databases.
• Familiarity with mobile security best practices and secure coding techniques.
• Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for mobile apps.
• Understanding of design patterns like MVC, MVVM, and VIPER.
• Knowledge of Apple Pay integration and other payment processing tools (a plus).
• Familiarity with SwiftUI and Combine frameworks (a plus).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in iOS app development.

Nice-to-haves

• Spanish language skills (a plus).
• Proven track record of developing and deploying iOS apps in the App Store, preferably in the fintech or banking industry.
