About the position

As an iOS Developer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality iOS client code solutions that align with the overall product strategy. Your role will require you to adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines, and principles to ensure that the applications you develop are not only functional but also user-friendly and engaging. You will collaborate closely with Software Engineers, UX/UI designers, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners/Analysts to create customer experiences that are powerful in their simplicity and effectiveness. In this position, you will actively participate in all team agile ceremonies, contributing to the team's commitments and ensuring that all deliverables are met on time and to the highest quality standards. Continuous learning is a key aspect of this role, as you will need to stay updated on the latest technologies related to mobile development, including Swift and various third-party libraries. Your ability to influence and contribute to group discussions will be essential, as you will incorporate feedback and communication from the broader team into your work. You will also engage with developers outside of your local sprint team, collaborating across various disciplines such as Android, APIs, and Web development. Taking ownership of major components and platform needs will be a significant part of your responsibilities, as you will work in partnership with senior engineers and architects. Sharing best practices and improving processes within and across sprint teams will be expected, as will identifying technical obstacles early and collaborating with your team to find creative solutions. Additionally, you will review pull requests to ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms, contributing to the overall quality of the codebase.

Responsibilities

  • Develop iOS client code solutions that deliver on Product Strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines and principles
  • Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high performing quality customer experiences that are engaging, purposeful and powerful in their simplicity
  • Actively participate in all team agile ceremonies, contributing to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality
  • Remain an active learner in all technologies related to mobile development (Swift 3rd party libraries, etc.)
  • Influence and contribute to group discussions and incorporate feedback/communication from the broader team
  • Actively engage with developers outside of the local sprint team across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.)
  • Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and Architects
  • Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams
  • Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions
  • Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms

Requirements

  • Proficiency in iOS development
  • Strong knowledge of Swift programming language
  • Experience with design patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and MVP
