About the position

As an IP Operations Analyst at TCWGlobal, you will play a crucial role in our Legal and Enforcement team, focusing on navigating global safe harbor laws and curbing unauthorized intellectual property uses. This position is fully remote and requires a commitment to a 12-hour shift schedule, primarily from 6 PM to 2 AM PST, including weekends as needed. You will be responsible for reviewing and responding to legal requests and inquiries from rights holders and creators, ensuring compliance with our policies designed to protect intellectual property rights. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you assess complex and dynamic fact patterns, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and maintain the team's domain expertise in intellectual property matters. In this role, you will intake and process a continuous stream of copyright-related requests from external parties. This involves thorough review and analysis in accordance with established policies and guidelines, utilizing internal service tools for investigation and resolution. Clear and effective communication is essential, as you will need to articulate your findings in real-time and asynchronously. You will also be expected to escalate issues and collaborate with various stakeholders involved in enforcement actions. The ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, is a key requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Intake and process continuously inbound copyright-related requests and inquiries from external parties.
  • Review and analyze requests in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Utilize internal service tools for investigation and resolution of requests.
  • Communicate clearly in written form in real-time and asynchronously.
  • Escalate and communicate with stakeholders involved in enforcement actions.
  • Work a shift schedule that includes night and weekend hours, with potential flexibility.

Requirements

  • Utmost attention to detail and the ability to conduct and communicate analysis around ambiguous fact patterns.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively on time-sensitive issues with a 24/7 team.
  • Independently problem solve efficiently and proactively, including performing independent proactive deep dive analysis and investigation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in copyright, trademark, or user-generated content enforcement.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, including advanced spreadsheet knowledge and professional email correspondence.
  • Experience managing a high volume ticket queue.
