The successful candidate will be expected to handle patent docketing, manage databases, correspond with vendors, and undertake additional projects as assigned. Given the sensitive nature of the information handled, strict adherence to confidentiality policies is paramount. The position is contract-based, lasting for six months, and is located in San Jose, CA. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their ability to think independently and strategically, particularly when managing conflicting priorities. Experience with Anaqua, a patent management software, is considered a plus, but not mandatory. Responsibilities

  • Manage patent docketing processes and ensure timely updates to the patent database.
  • Oversee database management and maintain accurate records of patent filings and deadlines.

  • Assist in various projects as assigned by the IP Operations team.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality policies when handling proprietary information.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of patent-specific legal experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate is required.
  • Experience with patent prosecution at a large law firm or in-house corporation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with patent docketing systems and tools is essential.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities efficiently and independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Anaqua patent management software is a plus.
