As an IP Patent Paralegal at DLA Piper, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys with a variety of substantive case-related duties. Under the supervision of attorneys, you will be responsible for preparing drafts of legal documents and correspondence for attorney review, as well as compiling, analyzing, and summarizing information pertinent to cases. Your role will also involve coordinating efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, and other parties, ensuring that all communications and documentation are handled efficiently and effectively. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to work from either the Philadelphia or Pittsburgh office while also providing flexibility for remote work. You will be expected to complete standard U.S. trademark and patent application filings, assist with foreign filing programs, and handle assignments related to U.S. registrations. Keeping clients informed about the status of their marks and patents will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will managing data rooms and matter files to ensure that all information is organized and accessible. In this fast-paced environment, you will need to demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders, including attorneys and clients. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, as you will be managing large volumes of work associated with each matter.
