About the position

The IP Resident Engineer will be responsible for delivering professional services related to network strategy, design, engineering, implementation, testing, customer training, and on-site support. The role requires a strong understanding of IP networking and experience with various networking protocols and technologies, particularly those related to Nokia products. The engineer will also be involved in deploying and managing virtual environments and servers, troubleshooting software applications, and planning and implementing solutions around Nokia SDN and Data Center products.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional services including network strategy, design, engineering, implementation, testing, customer training, and on-site support.
  • Manage and deploy VM environments and servers including ESXi, KVM, Kubernetes, and VMWare.
  • Troubleshoot software applications in VM/Linux environments.
  • Plan, design, and implement Nokia SDN and Data Center products and solutions.
  • Provide technical information and assistance in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant work experience in IP networking and professional services.
  • Strong working knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP), signaling protocols (RSVP, LDP), QoS, IP VPN, VLAN, VLL/VPLS, DPI.
  • Experience with Nokia products such as 7x50, 7705, 7210, 7220.
  • Intermediate level expertise in Nokia SR Linux, Cisco's Data Center ACI, or Juniper products.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Nokia SRA, Nokia DCF or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of Python and JSON programming.
