About the position

The IRB Affairs Specialist 1 at WCG is responsible for providing administrative support to the Board and clients, managing document analysis, client reporting, and problem resolution. Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Board and clients by preparing documents for review in accordance with company policies and requirements
  • Maintain and promote positive working relationships with clients by providing timely and professional service
  • Detect errors in typing, spelling, grammar, syntax, and punctuation
  • Read and interpret documents such as research protocols and medical literature
  • Set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Provide support to Reviewers on a regular basis
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism regarding client information
  • Accurately enter information in the database
  • Proofread and distribute outgoing correspondence
  • Contribute to a positive, customer-oriented team environment
  • Resolve questions and problems effectively
  • Communicate to obtain information or clarify requests
  • Maintain work logs/reports as required by management
  • Mentor team members by teaching procedures and providing constructive feedback
  • Attend and be punctual for work as essential functions of the position
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred, or a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Two+ years of experience working in an administrative setting with a focus on proofing documents and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in a highly regulated industry
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Databases, and Adobe
  • Detail-oriented with experience working with medical terminology (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and utilize discretionary judgment
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and organizational goals.
