About the position

The Instrument Repair Technician (IRC Tech) at bioMerieux is responsible for the evaluation, refurbishment, assembly, alignment, and acceptance testing of automated electro-mechanical biological test systems. This role requires advanced technical skills and knowledge in electro-mechanical functions, and it plays a crucial part in maintaining stock levels and ensuring the quality of the test systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform sub-assembly and final assembly acceptance test operations.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations of a complicated nature.
• Assist in training of Technicians.
• Perform any other job related task as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Technical/Vocational degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in a related manufacturing environment.
• In lieu of a degree, High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and 2 years of electronic technician experience.
• Associates Degree is desired.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical functions, advanced laws of electricity, microprocessor and analog systems.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and assembly procedures.
• Knowledge of service and repair of St. Louis based instrumentation.
• Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance and calibration systems and processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to conduct advanced test procedures.
