About the position

The Irrigation Service Technician at Turf Doctor Inc. is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing residential and commercial irrigation and drainage systems. This role emphasizes outdoor work and offers opportunities for career growth and skill development in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, service, and repair residential and commercial irrigation and drainage systems.
• Make recommendations for continuous improvement in customers' irrigation system needs.
• Identify solutions for common and complex irrigation system issues and implement those solutions.
• Provide unmatched customer service by communicating professionally with customers about their systems.
• Maintain company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and submitting requests for routine maintenance to the fleet department.
• Drive assigned route using a company vehicle.
• Use a tablet to complete work orders, create estimates, and call customers daily.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills and critical thinking on a mechanical level.
• Desire for continual learning and continuous improvement, personally and professionally.
• Ability to bend and stoop while maintaining in-ground systems.
• Ability to move supplies weighing up to 25lbs and occasionally lift up to 95lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Willingness to work in all types of weather.
• Availability for overtime during peak seasons (Spring and Fall).

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in Landscaping, Maintenance, Construction, or General Laborer roles.
