About the position
The Irrigation Technician at McGuire's Beautiful Outdoors is responsible for the installation, repair, removal, and troubleshooting of both residential and commercial irrigation systems. This role aims to enhance service success, improve customer satisfaction, maximize customer retention, and increase profitability. The position offers a four-day work week, allowing for three-day weekends, and includes a variety of health benefits.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and troubleshoot residential and commercial irrigation systems.
- Manage irrigation services, including coordination of materials and equipment.
- Perform inspections of irrigation systems.
- Create and submit proposals for repairs and adjustments.
- Properly install irrigation lines, valves, and computerized timers.
- Remove existing irrigation systems and recover salvageable parts.
- Troubleshoot existing system issues, including computerized timer errors.
- Use assigned tools and equipment safely and properly.
- Identify watering needs of common turf types and recognize stressed plant material.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1+ year experience in irrigation systems preferred.
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to interact professionally with employees and customers.
- Demonstrated experience with residential and commercial irrigation systems.
- Strong work ethic and initiative.
- Communication skills for service calls and daily interactions.
Nice-to-haves
- Florida Irrigation License (preferred but not required).
