About the position
The Irrigation Technician at BrightView is responsible for overseeing the installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems. This role requires proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate potential issues, ensuring the efficient operation of irrigation systems for clients. The technician will conduct inspections, troubleshoot problems, and execute upgrades to enhance system performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and test new installations of irrigation systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair problems in existing systems.
- Observe pipe and valve placements and evaluate system start-ups and winterization.
- Conduct detailed inspections and record findings.
- Plan and execute upgrades of client irrigation systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of productive experience in the installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Ability to create and read site map colored charts/legends.
