About the position
The Irrigation Technician at Houston Oaks is responsible for the operation, installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic irrigation and drainage systems. This role is crucial in creating memorable experiences for members while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. The technician will ensure systems function efficiently and maintain accurate records, contributing to the overall quality of the turf and the satisfaction of the membership.
Responsibilities
- Deliver service with care and attention, prioritizing quality and member well-being.
- Plan and supervise all new irrigation installation projects.
- Ensure systems are functioning per schedule and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Develop efficient programming techniques for maximum efficiency to provide quality turf conditions.
- Monitor new irrigation heads needed due to dry areas and inspect all systems daily for proper performance, making necessary repairs.
- Install and repair irrigation control wiring.
- Occasionally supervise a small labor force for special projects.
- Follow safety protocols.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
