About the position

The Irrigation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. This role involves hands-on work with various irrigation components, ensuring systems operate efficiently and effectively. The technician will also promote workplace safety and environmental practices while documenting work performed.

Responsibilities

• Turns irrigation systems on and off as designated.
• Repairs and replaces hoses, pipes, and various types of sprinkler heads and fixtures.
• Operates timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
• Replaces or repairs irrigation valves.
• Installs or repairs irrigation lines.
• Assists in various maintenance activities as required.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Fills out reports and takes before and after pictures from a company iPhone.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Ability to install, operate, troubleshoot and repair manual and/or computerized irrigation systems.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Ability to perform irrigation tasks such as operating timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
• Knowledge of manual and/or computerized irrigation systems.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to interact with Apple iOS and Gmail.
