About the position

The Irrigation Technician role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for gardens, lawns, and other landscaped areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and irrigation systems, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain various types of irrigation systems, including drip and sprinkler systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues such as leaks or blockages.
• Perform necessary repairs on irrigation components using hand tools and power tools.
• Dig trenches for irrigation lines and ensure proper placement of pipes and fittings.
• Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall garden care plans.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust irrigation schedules accordingly to promote efficient water use.
• Provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to existing irrigation systems based on landscape needs.

Requirements

• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to irrigation installation and maintenance.
